No. Liking both sexes is called bisexuality. Transsexuality or transsexualism is feeling like you were born "trapped in the wrong body." Your sense of being and identity is one thing, but your body is another, and you hate that mismatch so much that you feel compelled to change your body using hormones and surgery.

You should explain the situation very well. Don´t just tell that i´m a transsexual. Find out information and materials about transsexuality to be able to answer all their questions they may have. Try to tell about scientific explanations for transsexuality and explain that. Most of the people do not make distinctions between for example transsexuality and transvestism. Try to explain that this is not a fetish you have, but a serious need for help.If they don´t help you, try to help yourself. I have to admit that being a transsexual is a terrible feeling. Nobody understands you, nobody around you feels like you. Everybody thinks that this kind of abnormality will go away. But it won´t. You may get used to it, but it will never go away. Transsexuality is a lifelong condition and the only known treat for it is sex change. You are in a perfect age for sex change to achive the best results. I assume that you have just hit puberty. If you are able to get hormone treatment now you will look just like any other female on this planet for the rest of your life, just with male chromosomes. If you will not get hormone treatment during your puberty, you will develop big large shoulders, big hands and feet, body hair, facial hair and overall masculine bone structure. If you will get hormone treatment after puberty, you will probably look quite masculine and hard to pass as a female. Only very expensive plastic surgery and long-term hormone treatment may help you, but you will probably still be a little masculine. Trust me being a man, when feeling female inside is a very terrible and frustrating condition. Try to tell your parents all from your heart. Best wishes and good luck!

LOL... right here :) There are many transsexuals, of both genders, and can be found all over the world. Some choose to be out and visible (such as myself) and share their experiences in an effort to help educate society, and help other transsexual individuals. Some choose to keep their status private and should be respected for that. Much of society doesn't understand transsexuality, and the world can still be a dangerous place to live as a transsexual person.

You'll have to give it several years before your sexual identity has matured enough before it makes any sense to talk about transsexuality. Well, to put it short, transsexuality (synonymous with transgendered) is a birth defect. It is caused by a hormone imbalance during important stages in the womb. The baby ends up with a body of one sex, and a brain of the opposite sex. Brains have sex. This is their Gender Identity. And then there is Sexual Orientation, which is the body. Because of their body, the baby is treated as either a boy or a girl. But on the inside they are the opposite. If that baby grows up and tries to become his or herself, they will be ridiculed. But if the person acts like their body to please others, they will suffer. It sucks to live in the wrong body. Yep :) that's about it. I am supportive of transgendered people.

Malaysia criminalizes the transsexuality, but with imprisonment, not death.) In Bangladesh and Pakistan, Hijras are recognized as a third gender and have certain benefits. This lack of laws in most Islamic countries is in contrast to homosexuality, which is within the "Islamic understanding" and has the death penalty in 9 Islamic Countries and is criminalized in over 20 others. That being said, while there may be no laws on the books making transsexualism illegal, transsexuals are not welcome in most Islamic World countries. Like other sexual minorities, it is sort of "accepted" for rogue bands to hurt, threaten, or murder them in the street if they are "too obvious". These types of incidents are typically not prosecuted as long as it is obvious that the victim is a sexual minority. This is not to say that there are not transsexual communities in Islamic Countries other than Bangladesh or Pakistan. (I would suspect Iran has the largest one because of Iranians' more cultured nature and Iran's large population.) It just happens that most of these communities are underground and hidden from public scrutiny and violence.
