A Babe Ruth Baseball Card, and a Signed Babe Ruth baseball Card are two different items.

A 1914 Babe Ruth Rookie baseball card - just the tenth card of its kind to be discovered - which sold at auction in April. for about $270,000. The card was produced by the Baltimore Sun Newspaper. The second most valuable baseball card behind only the 1909 M206 Honus Wagner tobacco card (which recently sold at auction for $2.35 million).

I'm not sure what 1928 Baseball card you are asking about but once the card is signed it loses it's value as a collectible baseball card. It now becomes a "signed item" to display the signature. The signature would be considered as a flaw in the condition of the card and the bulk of the value will rely on the signature. The card collector will not spend the money on the card. It will be appealing to the autograph collector but the autograph collector will not spend the extra money on the Collectible card.

Signed baseball cards typically sell at a bout 30-40 percent the price of a signed baseball or the price of a signed 8 x 10 photo. The price could also vary based on the popularity of the player, and how sought after the signature is. A high valued card can add some value but not come close to it's un-signed value.

I have not found any closed auction with a signed baseball card but being compatible in value with a photo the value should be in the $3,000.-$4,000. price range in general with added value for the card. value may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature, and how well the baseball card displays the signature. Signatures that are not authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.

In a few recent auctions a signed 3 x 5 photo sold for $5,377.50. a large 17 x 21 fountain pen signed photo with inscription sold for $23,900. The average photo sold for about $3,000. - $4,000

There are a large variety of baseball cards made for Babe Ruth. From the 1916 Sporting News M101 to the modern day Topps baseball cards that sell as low as a dollar. Not to mention the many reprints. prices will vary. Graded cards will sell at a significant price higher.

Most noted Babe Ruth cards include 1916 Sporting News M101 graded Near Mint 7 by PSA, sold for an $82,250. and the Babe Ruth 1933 Goudey baseball card #53 sold for $38,187.50 graded. Most Babe Ruth cards with high value are from the 1930's gum cards sets. A Ruth 1933 Goudey baseball card #149 sold for $2,100. and a 1933 Goudey #144 Babe Ruth graded PSA NM-MT 8 $16,240.00.

What is value of a baseball found at a storage auction supposedly used and signed by Babe Ruth?

The value of "Supposedly" used and signed by Babe Ruth is low if not worthless. The baseball will only have value if "it is" used and signed by Babe Ruth. The only way to remove the "Supposedly" is by having the signature properly authenticated. As far as being "used" only a high level letter of provenance tracing the ball back to the baseball actually being used by the Babe will confirm this. Without strong provenance the ball will always be "Supposedly used" and will have no value as such. There will be no way of proving that the baseball is "game used" or "used by Babe Ruth" so what you have is a Babe Ruth single signed baseball which does have high value. However if the baseball is not properly authenticated you could land up with half the market value or less. The value of a Babe Ruth single signed baseball could be worth anywhere from $4,000. -$10,000. and up Value will vary baseball on the condition of both the baseball and signature, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. The signature should be strong, and bold, as opposed to faded and hard to see. If the baseball is "Supposedly" game used then the baseball should be an Official Major League baseball, and this will add some value as well, as opposed to a common store bought baseball. What is the value of a basketball autographed by Babe Ruth?

Babe Ruth signed basketballBabe Ruth did play other sports but will not be identified with any other but baseball. The most preferred item for a Babe Ruth signature would be a baseball, but the unique nature of the signed vintage basketball would make a neat display. A Babe Ruth signed baseball in general is worth about $6,000.-$10,000. and i could see the basketball selling for more. The type of authenticity that accompanies the signature, and how well the signature is displayed on the basketball will effect the value. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.

How much and where would you be able to buy a baseball signed by Babe Ruth?

The best places to buy an autographed Babe Ruth baseball would first be a place that offers you a Certificate of Authenticity of the signature. If you do some research, there are a few companies that grant certificates like that that are more reputable than others, specifically BGS and PSA.You can find Babe Ruth autographed baseballs online on Ebay, at estate or sports auctions, or being sold by private collectors.A rough estimate of a autographed Babe Ruth baseball is 3-8,000 dollars depending on it's conditionBabe Ruth Single Signed BaseballA Babe Ruth single signed baseball in general is worth about $6,000.-$10,000. Value may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature.A baseball in poor condition with a weak signature could sell in the $4,000. price range or less, and a minty baseball with a strong signature could sell in the $15,000 price range or more. But with all said the strength of the authenticity that accompanies the signature will hold the bulk of the value.A signature with the quotation marks around "Babe" that typified his pre-1928 autograph will sell at a higher value as well. What is the value of a Spalding Official League ball autographed by Babe Ruth and Bob O'Farrell?

The value of a multi signed baseball cannot be priced by the value of each signature added up. Multi signed baseballs are valued as a group of signatures, and how desired that group is as a whole. This does not necessarily mean that two signatures will sell for less than one, but in most cases it does, or at least not the full value of the two signatures added up. A Babe Ruth signature is one of the most prized signatures in the hobby. A Babe Ruth single signed baseball in general is worth about $6,000.-$10,000. Value may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. If the signature is not properly authenticated the signed baseball could sell at half the market value or less. I could not find any auctions featuring a Babe Ruth Bob O'Farrell Dual signed baseball. It would most likely sell for less than a Babe Ruth single signed baseball at about $4,000.-$6,000.
