The thing under their body is called a foot
.26 mph african snails go at 1.7 mph though!
the "thing" you pull out of a trombone is called a slide. The slide has seven positions, but seventh position is rarely used.
A slide. Or a micro-organism.
snails and slugs
rearing of snails is called heliciculture
Yes.
snails slide on there foot using a sticky mucus to travel it may take a long time depending on where they are going.
Snails for one.
If you are asking if snails crawl or walk they do neither. They slide on mucus.
Absolutley yes. I had about 3 snails in my fish tank, they breed and make more. Make sure that they do not slide up the sides. But apple snails and golden mystery snails love to live in such a habitat. Glad I could help. (:
Its is called a siphon. The snails uses it to exchange gas from above the surface of the water without actually surfacing. This allows the snail to not be a target for predators.
Male snails usually decorate their shells some how and find a mate right away. BUT....... if they find the same female they will "fight". What they do is slide over the other males shell and who ever gives up wins.
