It is an extremely short story, so it is best to read it for yourself! However, there is really only one main event, a blind trapeze artist's leap!

The narrator's Mother is the surviving half of a blindfold trapeze act. She lost her sight with cataracts. Because she manages to get around in her home gracefully without problem, the narrator believes it is because of her training.

The narrator knows that her Mother was with the Flying Avalons but does not think about this too much due to her Mother having no keepsakes from her past life in the act.

Basically, this is an autobiographical book.
