The fourth book is where it all ends. Strings will be tied, and it will all be over. The end of Brisingr said "Here Ends the Third Book of the Inheritance Cycle. The Story Will Continue and CONCLUDE in Book Four." We also know that the author had already written about 100 pages of the fourth book before the third book was finished, so this MAY reduce the time till the next book is published, which history shows was 2yrs between 1&2, and over 3yrs between 2 & 3. We also see an increasing trend in book length (508-668-748pgs). So, we could see book four in as little as a year, or as long as four years, depending on which trends have the greatest effect. However, with the momentum already present in this story, we have faith that Mr. Paolini will be able to fly through this final narration as on Dragon Wings.
