The book "Tangerine" is set in Lake Windsor Downs, a fictional town in Florida. The story takes place in the present day and revolves around the Fisher family and the various social and environmental issues affecting the community.
The main conflict of Tangerine is that Paul is trying to get use to Tangerine also that he wants to be accepted by his peers, & that he does not want to live in the shadow of his brother Eric. :) Hope you find this useful

To keep it short and simple, Tangerine is a book based on an average teenager who has a few unsolved problems, along the way you will not want to put it down. It is a great book, I read it with my teacher, and then I went to the store and bought my own copy. This book is the greatest I have ever read, Paul (main character) is someone I can really connect to, his problems are a bit different from mine, but it is interesting to listen. It also made me grateful for what I have, a great family, and awsome friends. IF YOU READ THIS BOOK, NEVER PUT IT DOWN!!!
1) The differences between the classes of people (those who live in and attend Lake Windsor and those who live in Tangerine). Tangerine residents are poor Hispanics that work on citrus farms while Lake Windsor residents are white collar workers with office jobs such as Head of the Engineering Department or Head of the Architectural Committee in the Homeowners Association.
2) How conflicts build up if not approached and confronted. For example, Paul's grandparents saw problems with his older brother, Erik, from the start. However, the parents did not make an attempt to correct him so as time when on, Erik began stealing things and even assisting in the murder of someone.
These are only two themes, but there are a few other ones as well.
