Yes.The home country is not an issue to get US green card provided the home country government has no issues.

Individuals who have been granted Conditional Green Card Status are required to apply to remove the Conditions on their Green Card within 90 days of the date that their Conditional Permanent Resident status expires.After conditions are removed the applicant is issued a green card valid for 10 years.If married to U.S. Citizen you may apply after 3 years with valid green card for US citizenship.

∙ 15y agoI can't answer this question without more clarity. You can marry an Australian citizen at any registry you choose. However, I think you want to know how this affects your status as a Permament Resident ie. Green Card holder. I would need to know more about your Green Card status to answer that. However, it will be difficult under normal circumstances, to apply for citizenship for an Australian spouse because you are not a naturalized US citizen under the USICS rules for permament residence.
