Place the first shingle over the upside down on and nail just above the tar strip at each end and above each cut out.
Cut 1/2 of the left side tab off for the second row. Position at the top of the cut out or snap a chalk line at each row and go from that.
Third row, cut the full left tab off
Fourth row a tab and a half. always keeping the cut side to the left.
There is a small notch at the top edge of the shingle to gauge the step back with.
Continue up the roof until you get to 1/2 a tab.
Back to the bottom and another row using full shingles. Use the tabs you cut off to finish the row at the right side.
