DO NOT change the subscripts at all. They represent the molecules required in the compound according to the element's valence.

Why mole concept is used in balancing chemical equation?

mole concept is used in balancing chemical reaction because for balancing a reaction u cant change the numbers such as 1,2,3 etc.. in between the compund so as a whole we are changing outside the compound

Why cant an unbalanced chemical equation fully describe a reaction?

The amounts of reactants and products are not mentioned.

Why cant the subscripts of a chemical equation be changed?

subscripts define the ratio of atoms to atoms, or ions to ions in a compound. they are set by the valence electrons, they only fit in certain ways. why change them other than to make balancing equations easier. balancing equations is not supposed to be too easy, just work harder at it. don't adjust the universe to fit into a simple way to look at things. NERD!

Does a physical or a chemical change?

A phsical change is something that can be changed but cant be changed back. for example: you can crumple a piece of paper but it is still paper. A chemical change means it has been changed perminetly so for example: If you burn the paper its ashes not paper. it was ashes but youy cant change it back into paper. Hope this helps :)

Why can't you balance an equation by changing the subscripts of the reactants or the products?

You can't change the subscript. The subscripts show how the elements/molecules are bonded.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The subscripts represent the number of atoms of each element in each chemical formula-if you change the subscripts, you change the compounds the formulas are describing.Source: (e2020)

Why can't subscripts be changed?

Because if you change a subscript, you change the compound. H2O is water. H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide. They are not the same thing. I assume you are balancing equations. Change the coefficients but then you are only changing the number of molecules of said compound and not the compound itsel.

Is baked bread a chemical change?

Yes it is because the chemical properties change and it cannot be reversed.

Why cant a chemical reaction be put back the same?

cause chemical reactions cant be reversed

Is it a chemical change when soot is produced and deposited on a metal?

Producing soot by burning something is a chemical change, but when it is deposited on metal (or anything else), that is a not a chemical change.See the Related Questions to the left for more information.
