A US nickel is an alloy of 25% nickel and 75% silver.
Current Canadian nickels are made of plated steel. Older ones are made of pure nickel.
We usually don't find nickel pipes, as in pipes made of nickel metal. We do find that nickel is added to other metal(s) to make an alloy that can be used to make different kinds of pipe. Nickel is added to steel alloys to make different kinds of steel pipe, and these pipes find use in a variety of applications.

buttons and stainless steel pots are uses of nickel................................................Nickel is a metallic element, making up 0.008% of the Earth's crust. also.... buildings and infrastructure, chemical production, communications, energy supply, environmental protection, food preparation, water treatment and travel, all rely on nickel in some way amongst other things.....

Chromium
Nichrome! It's an alloy of nickel and chromium, and sometimes iron.
Nickel
Yes. It's used in Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries.
Oh yes, nickel is a very helpful metal. It is often added to iron to make a useful alloy of steel (often with other metals added as well, and carbon) and it also can be used to make a very nice stainless plating. It is widely used in coinage as well (and of course, the coin called the nickel is named after the metal from which it is made).

A metal used in very hard steels is nickel. Nickel is used to make stainless steel, rechargeable batteries, tanks to hold corrosive chemicals, and the five cent coin.
Ukulele frets are traditionally made of nickel, but can be made of plastic or other metal.
