There isn't a standard length for carpet rolls. They are often shipped as large as 200 sq yards depending on how thing the nap is.
Carpet widths are most often 12', but they are sometimes 15', 13'6", and 6' wide.
Hi, a roll of #15 (15 pound felt) covers 400 sq. ft and I know that its 36" or 3 foot wide so 400 divided by 3 equals about 133 ft which as a carpecter I can say is abuot right. Now if you use the thicker #30 (30 pound felt) the sq ft. of coverage is less but it is also 3' wide sothe same formula applies. also note that if your planning to cover a roof you have to allow for some overlap which is about 2" on the top and I recommend a 3' overlap on the beginning of the next rooll over the last of the prior roll. Hope that helps, good luck....Rocky Strickler

A toilet paper roll will vary depending on toilet paper thickness and how many pieces are on a roll. The average length is 4 to 5 feet long.
136/8.5 = 16 (length 16m) is the longest possible length of this carpet.
By the yard or metre. A roll of carpet is a certain width, maybe 3metres and you buy it by the metre length or yard length. So if you buy 12 metres of carpet you get a piece 3m X 12m.
sq.ft. carpet = 5 rolls x 12ft wide x length of roll in feet.
That roll of carpet has the square yardage of its width measured in yards multiplied by its length measured in yards. You may need to unroll it to find the length exactly, or if you are only looking for an approximate area and hence length, you can assume the roll is made up of concentric rings of carpet, measure the diameter of each ring from the inside to the outside (to the backing of the carpet) and use these find the circumference of each ring and sum them - this sum can be calculated by summing the diameters and multiplying that sum by π. The last ring will not usually not be a full ring, so it can either be measured directly or added in as a fraction of the whole ring multiplied by its diameter.
There are several websites such as End Of The Roll, Carpet Deals, and Carpet World that offer deals on carpet remnants. Also you can visit local carpet stores and see what carpet remnants they have in stock on sale.
depends on the ball, big ball, small ball? Big ball would roll easier on carpet and grass, small ball would roll easily on carpet.
This will vary by brand and style carpet.
