In order to babysit you have to be 10 years old (or older). and have your babysitting license.

That's a good guideline, but there's actually no law in Ontario that explicitly dictates an age and as far as I know there are baby sitting courses available to those who wish to pursue, but there is no babysitting license. there is a babysiting course that you enter and when this course is finished if you pass they give you a certificate.

i am pretty sure the age dosent matter but of couse it wont be someone like 7 years old but it depends on howw responsible u are

i live in half way between Toronto and Niagara falls, and there is no legal age, but you must be over 8. also, i suggest not babysitting completely alone for more then an hour until you are at least 10 or 11. however, if you're 9-11, i suggest babysitting kids between 3 or 4 and 7. i started babysitting at 9.

The legal age to take the course is 11, and same with babysitting, but most parents would prefer that if they not too familliar with the babysitter that they are 12 and up.

in Ontario you have to be 10 and up but if your 9 and down you cant becasue those are the kids that should be babysat not babysitting
