It is south of the Bay of Biscay and France, and their common border includes the country of Andorra in the Pyrenees. Spain is bounded on the south and southeast by the Mediterranean Sea (containing the Balearic Islands).
Spain also claims small locales in Northern Africa, and the Canary Islands off the west coast of Africa.
