Are metals poor conductors of electricity?

It depends on the metal as to how well it conducts electricity, but generally metals are very good electrical conductors. Copper wires are commonly used for the electrical wiring in houses.

In case you need a loan lender to assist you with loan i will advice you to watch very well before you apply for a loan from any company. Although i was offered a loan with no credit check and no upfront collateral by a loan lender whose name is Mr. Maurice Tyson? Eight months ago. If you are interested to get a loan from him you can contact him via this email:inquiry.nortonfinanceloans@hotmail.co.uk.i know he can assist you also. Henry

How will you measure a three phase electric supply?

It really depends on what you mean by 'measure' -that is, what quantity you wish to measure: voltage, current, power, or energy. It also depends on whether the load being supplied is balanced (i.e. having identical phases) or unbalanced. It also depends on whether you wish (in the case of voltage and current) whether you wish to measure line quantities or phase quantities. So, as you can see, you really require quite a complex answer! The three energised ('hot') conductors that connect a three-phase supply to its load are called 'lines' and the fourth conductor (if present) is called a 'neutral'. 'Phases' are connected either between lines, or between individual lines and the neutral, depending on whether the loads are connected in delta (three-wire systems) or star(four-wire systems).(Beware that some writers confuse 'lines' and 'phases', calling line conductors 'phase' conductors; you must always use the correct terminology!)As the line voltages (voltage between lines) are determined by the supply, they are always equal -so to measure the line voltage, only one voltmeter is needed, and it can be connected between any two lines. For a balanced load, all three line currents are equal, so only one ammeter is needed, and it can be connected in series with any one of the individual lines. For an unbalanced load, the line currents are different, so you need to connect three, separate, ammeters, each in series with a line.To measure power for a balanced, or unbalanced, load, you can use one less wattmeter than there are conductors supplying the load. So for a three-wire system, you can use two wattmeters but, for a four-wire system, you must use three wattmeters. You will need to check out the internet to find a schematic diagram for these connections: search for 'three-wattmeter method', and 'two-wattmeter method'.Energy meters follow the same connections as the wattmeter methods, but usually comprise a single instrument, rather than individual instruments so, again, you'll need to do an internet search for their wiring diagrams.

What are known problems on a Pontiac Fiero?

As it was mentioned, overheating was caused by improper jacking of the vehicle. The early 2.5's would leak oil from the valve cover gasket. This leaked cause the bolts would come loose over time. Just apply loctite and retorque. Owner maintainence problem. Then the oil dripped on wiring harness. the wiring harness is over exhaust-POOF! Engine Fire. Then, owners wouldn't change oil as recommended. Oil gets thinner with use. The engine burns off this oil as it goes past the oil rings. Reducing engine oil level. Then, the engine bearing fails-and a Rod is Thrown through block-spilling oil on exhaust-POOF!-Engine Fire. All the Fiero's Bad Rap is owner maintainence and improper repair.Great Car. I have one. I want more. The early model Fieros 1984-85 had problems with overheating, so I would steer clear of them. Other than that there is no real know problems other than the same type problems you would have with any GM vehicle with the same engines. There is the 2.5L 4 cylinder and the 2.8L V6. The 2.5 gets excellent mileage but is underpowered. I would opt for the V6 and a 1988 if possible. Of course the placement of the engine makes it difficult to work on but, it is easily removed from the bottom. Read some reviews of Fiero owners, to get a better idea of this cars pros and cons. In my opinion it is a good little car that got a bad rap early on. The plastic body insures no rust, but look for cracks and paint poppingAnswerone point I learned the hard way if you get a fiero when ever you take it to get tires do not let the tech try to jack the car from the side. The way the cooling system is ran there is a metal tube running down both sides of the car that takes coolant from the engine to the radiator and back. If you do not watch what you're doing you can easily crush one of these tubes and cut off the coolant form getting to the radiator. Just a heads up there not fun to replace. --------------The fiero was a pile of junk. It is not the owners fault the cars caught on fire it was GM's. Two fieros caught on fire at the test track before production. GM arrogantly still produced the car! I knew of one man who serviced his every 2500 miles, properly burped the cooling system and his caught on fire at 11,000 miles. It was totaled-melted and burned to the frame. Another one caught on fire and killed an 18 month old baby. GM will always try to blame things on others but it is time for them to take responsibility for their actions. This is after all the company that produced the corvair, vega and citation. They better get better because they are on life support.

Why is it unsafe if the live wire and the neutral wire are the wrong way round?

From a purely electrical perspective, most items will run just fine if the hot wire and neutral are reversed. I like to say the electrons don't care. But any protection built into a piece of equipment is wired into the hot wire and you subvert this protection if you reverse the wiring. In a light fixture, the NEC requires the neutral wire (usually white) be connected to the screw shell of the socket. This prevents the screw shell from being energized and it is the most accessible part when changing bulbs. If properly wired, the hot part of a socket is the "button" in the very bottom of the socket. There are some items that require proper wiring and the only way to ensure this is done is to do it right every time. Another way to explain it is, using a vacuum cleaner as an example, if the wiring is correct, the hot wire goes to the switch and only when the switch is on is the vacuum cleaner energized. If the wiring is reversed, all the wiring in the vacuum cleaner is energized even when the switch is off.

How does the electric wiring in a 700R4 transmission work?

The wiring for the early 700R4 controlled the lock up converter only. We used to ground the wire by passing the external vacuum control so as soon as the transmission went into over drive it would lock and stay locked to prevent transmission overheating.
