Answer Firing orderThe firing order for a 302 (5.0) is 15426378 and a 351W (5.8) is 13726548. Be aware that both engines fire in a counterclockwise rotation. The 300 6 cylinder is 153624 with a clockwise rotation. The HO 302(5.0) has the same firing order as the 351W. Generally speaking, older 302s have the 15426378 firing order, while newer "5.0" 302s have the 13726548 firing order. The proper firing order for the engine is usually cast into the intake manifold.
Ford 302 V8 Firing Order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 Except the 302 HO engine which has a firing order of 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 I don't have a book on this model, look on the manifold, you may find it there.
