Ingredients

• A dozen eggs
• Fifth Bourbon (optional)- Use 2 to 4 1/2 cups (400ml to 1 liter)
• A pint of white rum (optional)- Use 1/2 to 1 1/2 cups (100ml to 350ml)

• A pint and a half of heavy whipping cream (750ml)
• A cup and a half of sugar (300g)

Steps

1.Separate the egg whites from the yolks. It's a good idea to separate the whites from one egg into a small bowl and if the separation is a success (no yolk gets in), pour the whites from that egg into the large bowl.

2.Beat the egg whites.

3.Mix half the sugar into the egg whites.

4.Mix the remaining half of the sugar into the egg yolks.

5.Gently mix the egg yolks into the beaten egg whites while pouring slowly (the goal is to keep the fluffiness of the whites).

6.Slowly pour the rum into the egg mixture and gently stir it in.

7.Slowly pour the milk into the mixture and gently stir it in.

8.Slowly pour the bourbon into the mixture and gently stir it in. (

9.Separate half the cream into a mixing bowl and set it aside

10.Pour the other half of the cream into the egg mixture and gently stir it in.

11.Whip the half of the cream in the separate bowl until nearly stiff.12.Gently fold the whipped cream into the mixture.

13.Grate the nutmeg (or just use pre-grated).

14.Ladle the eggnog into a punch glass and sprinkle a bit of nutmeg on top of the frothy, tasty eggnog.

RECIPE: World's Easiest Eggnog Ice Cream

Ingredients

• Quart of eggnog
• 1 T of bourbon or brandy or rum (optional, though recommended)

Equipment: Counter-top ice cream maker

Preparation (pour, turn on and eat)

1. Remove ice-cream-making insert from freezer
2. Place on machine, add paddle insert
3. Pour in eggnog, leave 2 inches from the top for expansion
4. Add 1 T of preferred libation (the alcohol adds a smoothness to the ice cream)
5. Add clear cover, turn on machine
6. Ice cream is ready when the eggnog is rich, thick and creamy (about 15-20 minutes)
