if u simply mean wot is the diff b/w pg diploma and masters then the answer is masters(msc) degree = taught part + dissertation proposal + dissertation.

after a successful completion of taught part of msc you are eligible to get a post graduate diploma and when u successfully complete your dissertation after taught part you get a masters degree.

in other words you are a pg diploma holder when you r preparing or writing or completing your dissertation.
