Stimulus Intensity is the strength of Apmlitude of the stimulus. For examply being punched in the arm lightly will cause the Sensation of just a little pain the stimulus (the sudden pressure) has a low intensity. But being punched harder will cause the sensation of more pain because the stimulus has a higher intensity. This increase in paion Perception is due to the fact that some of the sensory neurones are harder to activate than others so they will only send their implulses when a greater stimulus is presented. Stimulus Frequency on the other hand is the number of times per unit time that the stimulus is presented. To continue the original example if the arm was then puched only very slowly it would be said to have a low frequence but to puch faster would increase the frequency.

Sound and light are waves, so they have wavelength, frequency, etc.

Differences aren't many.

Light has higher frequency i.e., 1014 . Sound has 105

Lights frequency corresponds to its color.

But Light waves and sound waves are different in many ways..

Light waves are electromagnetic in nature while sound waves are not.

Light waves travel as energy as well as particle. But sound travels only as particles.

Light wave has two components (electrical and magnetic). Sound doesn't.

Light waves travel in straight lines. Sound waves doesn't..... and so on
