Both morphine and Percocet are used to treat moderate to severe levels of pain. The difference between them is that morphine acts on its own whereas Percocet is a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone.

∙ 14y agoPercocet is oxycodone and acetaminophen. Vicodin is hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Percocet is generally stronger and prescribed for moderate to severe pain, while Vicodin is prescribed for mild to moderate pain. Basically, in this day and age, you can get Vicodin for just about anything. I've had to be prescribed narcotic pain relievers numerous times, but have only gotten Percocet after surgical procedures.

∙ 15y agoThe difference is one Percocet is oxycodone and acetaminophen and the other Percodan is Aspirin and Oxycodone Hydrochloride/Oxycodone Terephthalate . Of course you also have other mixtures such as: Combunox which is Oxycodone HCl and ibuprofen and Roxicodone which just contains Oxycodone Hydrochloride. I hope this helps but it's best to stay away from all this stuff.

∙ 14y agoHi, Percocet is not the same as morphine, but if you have Allergies to morphine ;you may essentially react to percocet. Correct me if i am wrong anyone, there's an ingredient in percocet that is also present in morphine. Talk with your PCP or Pharmacist.

∙ 10y agoVicodin is acetaminophen (Tylenol) mixed with hydrocodone. Percocet is acetaminophen mixed with oxycodone. Oxycodone is a bit stronger than hydrocodone.

There's no such thing as a 750MG percocet. A 5/500mg percocet has only 5mg of narcotic, and 500mg of Tylenol. The 750mg you are refering to is the amount of Tylenol in the percocet, not the amount of narcotic. However, morphine and percocet can be mixed at low doses. I just want to add that yes there is an es form of percocet called ultracet.
