CO is Carbon Oxide or carbon and oxygen. They are bonded in a compound. Co is Cobalt. Cobalt is a hard ferromagnetic silver-white bivalent or trivalent metallic element. An element is a pure substance that doesn't contain anything but itself. For example H (Hydrogen) is an element but H2O (Water) is not (it is a compound).

Evolution is the change in allele frequency over time in a population of organisms, generally against the immediate physical environment. Co-evolution is this in two populations of organisms, both driving the evolution of the other. For example, the predator prey relationship. As prey becomes faster, by the simple expedient of the slower prey being selected out, predators must become faster to catch prey, the slower of then being selected out. This is an over simplified explanation of a very complex phenomenon, but gives you something to think about.
