Heredity means the similarities between parent and progeny where as variation means differences between the parent and progeny and hence Geneticined as the science of heredityt and variation.

Inheritance is the flow or transmission of charactors from parent to progeny.

When a baby is produced by parent. the baby has three types of charactors.

1.Charactors similar to all the members of that species to which the parents bolong to.A human baby bears all the traits or charactors of human beings i.e common to all men on the earth.
