And the answer is a lot, considering most mammal ancestors evolved from the first fish. For instance, mammals are often covered in hair, have four limbs and produce milk to feed young. Fish, on the other hand, are covered in scales, have a fused single tail and outerlining fins, and mostly leave young to fend for themselves (that is if they don't eat them first in some cases).
