no difference just a name, kalef21; no, it has something to do with the chemical make up of it. i don't know what.

the difference is the components creating the electricity. lead-acid is a non-alkaline battery because it uses lead and acid, not alkalai metals

One difference is the substance (base) used. Alkaline batteries use "alkali" (if you've ever been to NW Nevada then you can see the Alkali Flats, where this mineral is literally covers acres of desert) and lithium batteries use, well, lithium salts which is another form of minerals. You can actually make a battery out of quarters and table salt because of table salt being a mineral too.

All battery chemistry involves a metal and either an acid or alkali to form more stable compounds. Acid batteries include Lead car batteries where sulphuric acid reacts with lead to produce lead suphate and water. Alkali chemistries include Nickel Cadmium and Lithium Polymers - these involve metals that are high in the reactivity series and react with water to form compounds such as Lithium Manganese Dioxide. The Lithium in this case uses the OH- (hydroxide) from the water hence alkali. Many of these reactions are reversable by applying a suffcient current and therefore many alkali chemistries are secondry cells (rechargable).

Lithium and alkaline batteries employ different chemistries for maximum performance in different devices. Light in weight and compact, lithium batteries often come in distinctive sizes for use in specific devices.

nickel batteries use Nickel as the metal were the electrons come from. Alkaline will use a first group element (like lithium).

Simple answer: an alkaline battery cannot be recharged, a NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) battery can.

The actual chemistry of the battery is very different, of course.

Does non alkaline battery affect the joyo je-32 guitar pickup power supply?

9V DC is 9V DC, no matter what the source. Any difference between batteries is going to be caused by how discharged the batteries are. A non-alkaline battery may discharge more slowly than an alkaline battery, which may lead to a perceived difference when used in the JE-32.

How does the type of battery affect how long it will last?

This is not necessarily true. Usually the brand of battery is not as important as the technology used. An alkaline battery should last longer than a regular carbon battery, no matter what the brand.

What is the mha rating of standard of AA alkaline batteies?

A non-rechargeable AA battery has a mAh capacity of about 400-900. Zinc Chloride batteries store between 1000 to 1500 mAh, while alkaline batteries can store between 1700 to 3000 mAh.

Why does an Alkaline battery last longer than an acid dry battery?

Alkaline dry cells last longer because NH4Cl, an acid found in non-alkaline, is replaced with KOH or NaOH, a base found in alkaline. The Zinc in an alkaline dry cell batteries tends to corrode less in basic conditions.

What is an alkaline battery?

The "non-alkaline" battery is probably best "defined" by comparing it to the alkaline battery. Both are chemical cells, but the alkaline battery has as an electrolyte a basic solution of potassium hydroxide. (A base is often said to be "alkaline" in chemistry.) The "non-alkaline" battery uses zinc and ammonium chloride, which are acidic, as an electrolyte. The alkaline battery packs a higher chemical energy density than the "regular" or, as it is marketed, "heavy duty" or "industrial" battery. That's why it is generally more expensive and lasts longer.
