HTTP is a non secure website, meaning if you enter your credit card info into it, it could be seen by someone you most likely don't want it to be seen by.
HTTPS is secure S stands for Secure, and it is safe to put your credit card on, and no one else will be able to see your info.
http is secured https is not secured
I want to acces in a course about learning english from spain but my computer says "you can´t enter using https" what do I get to do? please help me.
Secure site versus not secure site.
WWW is the World Wide Web. HTTP is HyperText Transfer Protocol, which in simplistic terms is a set of rules for how the web works. HTTPS is a securer form of HTTP. You will often find it on websites where special transactions of data are occurring, for which additional security is needed.
HTTPS is based on HTTP. HTTPS is an encrypted version of HTTP.
HTTPS has an added Security and Encryption- You are secured. HTTP does not therefore your data sent can be red by third party
Some websites require HTTPS as a security issue. HTTPS is much more secure than HTTP.
i dont really know that much but i do know that a secure website has https:// at the beginning and non secure websites have jus http:// like wikianswer.com if yu look to the top youll see while other sites like amazon are https:// you get the point
http:// is the standard protocol used for most web pages, while https:// is a secured protocol used on secure pages such as banking sites. https:// encrypts all information sent to or from that page.
HTTPS is simply HTTP with encryption. You send encrypted data to the server, and it decrypts it. THe same thing happens in reverse. It's not like HTTP and FTP, where the data is completely different and you would need a "converter" so to speak.
No, https indicates that your http connection is encrypted and therefore secure.
HTTP is short for Hyper text transfer protocol. HTTPs is short for hyper text transfer protocol (security). So when ever you are using a secured site like facebook or twitter HTTP turns to HTTPs.
