∙ 10y agoCulturalism is a more accurate assessment of the bias instinct human beings have toward someone who is different in any way from themselves. Since, biologically speaking, there is no such thing as race (most humans share 98% of the exact same human genes), what the real differences are, are cultural.
i.e. You can have two white women who look exactly the same but come from completely different cultures whether regional, or national or just their family. They don't get along because their cultures are far too different and neither one of them is very open-minded. They both speak differently, act differently, and have very different values.
It would be inaccurate to call them racist, as it is any person. But it's not inaccurate to call them culturalist because they are biased in favor of their own culture and in the exclusion of others who do not accede to their ways.
