∙ 14y agoThe earliest documentation of the origination of the ice cream sundae is that of an advertisement placed by Chester Platt in the Ithaca Daily Journal of Ithaca, New York, USA in 1892. Other places such as Two Rivers and Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Buffalo, New York; Norfolk, Virginia; and Plainfield, Illinois also claim that the ice cream sundae had it's beginnings in their local ice cream shops. Either way, the ice cream sundae came from the United States of America.
