Nigeria is a playground for its ruling class. Notably, there have been over thirty oil spills on a par with the BP disaster over the last ten years in Nigeria by western corporations who bribe government officials in the Robert Mugabe regime and basically can pay dirt wages and dirt taxes. No one is even talking about cleaning them up. Nigeria even builds infrastructure and pays for services for western corporations at taxpayer expense, the hallmarks of a fascist regime.
There is a rebel group called MEND, comprised of organizations ranging from dedicated left wing Communists and Socialists who follow rules of war to armed thugs and gangsters as bad as the government forces who commit brutal war crimes and are anything but Socialist, which attacks western oil infrastructure, ostensibly in the name of redistribution of wealth.
