SugarGlucose is a sugar monosaccharide (monomer): C6H12O6

Table sugar (sucrose) is C12H22O11

There are lots of sugars (monosaccharides, disaccharides, polysaccarhides). Glucose is one of the most important carbohydrates because it is used in cell respiration. All carbohydrates including sucrose are hydrolyzed in digestion - broken down to glucose. The splitting and transformation of glucose is what powers ATP production, which in turn supports cell activities.

A sugar solution does not have a chemical formula as it is a mixture. Since there is not definite ratio between the components of the solution (sugar and water) a chemical formula would be impossible.

The chemical formula of the sugar by itself, assuming it is table sugar, is C12H22O11

There is no hydrogen monoxide compound, but there is a dihydrogen monoxide compound, H2O which is better known as water.

Is sugar an element or mixture?

Sugar is a compound. It consists of several different elements depending on the type of sugar. A compound is formed by a chemical reaction and cannot be separated. You can't separate sugar into other substances physically.

Water is a chemical compound.

What is the chemical equation for muddy water?

A chemical equation represents a reaction--a change of something from one state to another. For example, the burning of hydrogen to form water:2H2 + O2 => 2H2OA chemical formula represents a compound, such as H2O for water. However, muddy water is not a compound. It is water with a suspension of mud. Mud may coutain many different compounds. Main Street mud is not necessarily the same as Park Avenue mud.

Why is water the formula for a chemical compound?

Water is a chemical compound because it has 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom. if there is a formula for water it means water is a chemical in other words H2O

Is ink element compound or mixture?

Mixture. A compound is a single substance consisting of atoms bound together (for a very simple definition): water (H2O), Ammonia, etc. A mixture is a combination of coumpounds/elements that are physically, not chemicall combined. When you dissolve sugar in water, you have a sugar-water mixture, not a compound since you do not obtain a single substance "sugar-water" with a unique chemical formula.
