Battle, battle, battle! If you've just started a new Pokemon game - no matter what version you may have or how old it is - your starter, as I'm sure you've found out, is a level five. I'm not exactly 100% sure about all Pokemon games, but the wild Pokemon around where you live should be level 2's and 3's. So, start battling 'till you're a level 8 or so, then look for an area with level 5's and 6's and battle there until you're about level 11, 12, or 13. Then switch to an area with level 7's or 8's and battle 'till your about a level 15 or so. Try to keep going in the same pattern until you feel you've grown strong enough. ( Do this with any Pokemon you're serious about raising!) I have Pokemon Platinum, which I don't really play much. I also have Pokemon Sapphire, which I got about a year AFTER I got my Platinum, so I think it's the bomb. On my team I have Pal ( a Torchic, my first strongest and also my starter), Lady Miako ( a Ralts, and my second strongest), Rangiku ( a Wurmple which recently evolved into Cascoon), and last but not least, Rukia ( a Taillow for some reason doesn't want to evolve). I take turns raising them, battling constantly. Here's some parting words of advice: Don't catch a Pokemon and then never use it! If you don't plan on using it and will just let it take up space in your PC then don't even catch it! ( I say this because I have 7 Ralts in my PC that I'll probably never use... I'm to lazy to release them....)

∙ 12y agoTraining, duh. but if you want to make training easier use the lucky egg the professor gives you. also so far im in opelucid city and ive found about 3 or 4 various rare candys placed around the region

∙ 15y agoyou could either put them in the daycare or depending on which game,then you could give them the ex. share and battle the elite four and get max ex. which lvls to almost 15 in one fight.
