∙ 11y agoFor normal back acne, the most effective treatment/prevention is keeping it clean with regular showers, using an anti-bacterial soap made for the face. If the back acne is severe, a visit to a dermatologist may be in order.

Use a benzoyl peroxide wash for trunk/chest acne, 5-10% strength. Use 2-5% for facial acne. The higher percent does not mean it works better, it means it is more drying for the skin. A higher strength on the face will be too drying and cause redness and irritation. The efficacy, or how well a product works, is the same for the 2% as the 10%.
