Many commercial toilet bowl cleaners contain hydrochloric acid as its active scouring ingredient. Others use glycolic acid or chlorine bleach. Lately it has become popular to create cleaners at home and a combination of white vinegar and lemon juice can clean just as well as commercial cleaners.
