What is the average price to strip and wax vinyl tile floor per square ft contractors price?
Depending on the contractor doing it anywhere from .08 - .50 per sqft. 8 cents is a quick and dirty strip and wax and at 50 cents I would expect to be able to read a newspaper from the reflection. Either way make sure that the contractor you choose is experienced and walk the floor between the end of the strip and before the wax is laid. Any imperfections that you see will show through on the final finish. Also have the floor burnished within a week of finishing to fully harden the wax and maximize the shine.

How much does it cost to remove ceramic floor tile Most contractors charge 2 - 2.50 sq ft the surface under the tile would also determine the final price such as concrete plywood vinyl etc?
"It is free if you do it yourself or if you want someone else to do it find a highschool kid to do for $20.00"...... This is a ridiculous answer from someone who is obviously …not involved with construction in any way...The $2-2.50 range is quite standard for tile removal and if anything it is too low in my opinion...there is a lot involved....I charge anywhere from $3.50/$5 per sq. ft....this includes chipping the old tile off of the concrete slab, grinding the thin-set with a diamond cup grinding wheel, you have to take it all off....right down to the slab....and then prepping the floor for new installation...which includes leveling the slab. I use 4 mil plastic to enclose the area to keep dust from traveling throughout the house and attach a $500 vacuum to my grinder to make sure that I minimize the dust in the first place. Then I use a $30,000 truck to pull a $10,000 dump trailer up to the house and remove all the trash...then I drive 25 miles to the nearest dump that takes construction debris and pay to dump it....so as you can see when you factor all of this (and more....I didn't even get to insurance, workman's compensation, and fuel cost!!!!) for a legitimate contractor to do the work $2.50 is a steal....you might want to check his license and insurance just in case.... i'm not sure about a steal, but 2-2.5/ft is a fair price, don't pay the "high school kid" $20, he comes in while chipping and gets a piece of ceramic in his eye, guess who is liable... verify insurance before hiring anyone as already mentioned

Call the Home Depot and ask what their rate is, they are usually the highest labor rates in town. Run a craigslist ad for the cheapest. Those are 2 fast and easy ways to get a…n accurate range.
check on craigslist locally for several quotes
Call the local Home Centers, they will be the highest in the market. Check Craigslist or run an ad asking for labor quotes, they will tend to be the cheapest. Dont pay th…e most & dont pay the least & ask for references.
On the low end at about $2 per sq ft & the depot will be $6-8 bucks a foot after they do all the add ins. Get written quotes. Never pay for it all upfront.
That depends on where you are, Here in California, S.F., It cost $4.25 per sq. ft. to refinish a wood floor. And being that it has a wax finish, it can cost more because the f…loor contractor might have to use extra steps to get that wax finish off. That is my profession, and wax is one floor I hate to refinish. Like I said before, it depends on where you are.
ARTCO Floor Care Business in Sarasota charges approx. 35 cent per square foot, which includes STRIPPING & REFINISHING..(& apply FOUR COATS FINISH)...of all HARD surface floors…..we also offer FREE ESTIMATES... you walk on it- we clean it !!
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and look for your tile type. The install cost is shown on the shelf. Anything higher is a ripoff and anything lower has no experience. It varies from contractor to contractor. Size and type of tile. Design. Cuttings, edges, corners, doors, closets, islands, etc. Location. It is best to get a bid (at least 3…-4). Make sure your bids have references and pictures. Remember you get what you pay for . The lowest bid may not be the good and may have hidden costs and sloppy work. A quality tiler is worth the price you pay and you are pleased with the work. I have bid on many tile jobs and I wasn't the low bidder, but I was honest and thorough in what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I got the job and the homeowner was very pleased with the work
Labor Prices Fees & charges change from town to town, region to region, the best ways I can suggest to find a good range is : Run a short ad in Craigslist, that will …likely get you someone hungry & maybe unlicensed so you will know the cheapest price. Then call the local Home Depot or Lowes & ask what they charge if you buy your tile from them? That will be the highest price in the market Now you would have a good range & then its time to look for quality & references. a steal on tile or a great price on labor, can be VERY COSTLY if you give the job to a butcher.. My bet will be you will find someone on the low end at about $2 per sq ft & that the depot will be $6-8 bucks a foot after they do all the add ins. Get it in writing. Never pay for it all upfront The Rev sez Hope this helps "No one cares how much you know, till they know how much you care." Pastor Jim. ANSWER In the greater Raleigh area the cost to install (including average priced tile) is about $8-11/sf. The cost can go higher depending on what you are putting the tile on top of. It also varies if you are doing a diagonal pattern or decorative border. Laying the tile on the diagonal does make the room appear larger. If it is a slab foundation that is relatively level that is the cheapest. If you are on a crawl space, they will have to add an underlayment before they can add the tile or you will have serious problems with cracking and settling. The retailers are usually reasonable for doing this as they employ independent contractors who must guarantee their work. Make sure you get a few extra tiles! Another route is to contact the Home Builders Association in Raleigh and ask for a tile contractor or a remodeler referral.
It varies greatly from product to product and from market to market. The best way to get an answer is to put an ad on Craigslist telling what you want installed, the more …detail you can give the better the quote will be... ie.. "3/4 inch, unfinished oak hardwood over wood subfloor, new construction, 400 sq feet, need it done this week, paying cash.". . The lesson here is that the more detail you put in the ad, the better the quote.. You will have to understand that not every installer has Golden Hands, some are thieves & butchers, so you may not always want the low bidder..
