The average height for a 17-year-old female is anywhere between 5'4 to 5'9, the average weight is between 110 lbs to 140 lbs. This weight also depends on your muscle content, there are women whose muscle mass weighs a lot more than what they say they should weigh, and they are still average sized. But it also depends on your background/enthic and heritage.

i'm 12 (far from 17) and 5'3'' close to the avrage height and i weigh 112 pounds honest (but i hit puberty at 11 and have big boobs) so as long as your happy with your weight, your peers should too!

It depends on a large number of factors - you socio-economic circumstances (ie your class and wealth); your race (there are wide variations even within each "race" as the human population continues to diversify); your country of birth (not related to your race, obviously); the country you grew up in (again, not related to any of the above)... so many factors, in fact, that there is very little in the way of a true average.

However, if I assume you are what I assume to be the most likely profile for users of most internet sites - a white guy, relatively wealthy, American-born and raised, of western European descent with parents of a height that is within the median range - then just over 5ft 6in would be "normal".

There are so many variables that there is no simple answer. Genetics play a very large part in the growth of children. Average for Caucasian males in the US tends to be around 5'9" (69") and 140 pounds. Subtract some for those with Asian genetics and add some for African decent.
