The HMHS Britannic was an Olympic Class Ocean liner of White Star Line. She was a sister ship to the RMS Titanic and RMS Olympic. She was supposed to be called the RMS Gigantic, but after the sinking of Titanic, it was changed. She was converted into a hospital ship in WW1 before she started as a passenger ship. She was either mined or torpedoed off the coast of Kea in the Agean Sea(it is debated if it was really a mine or a torpedo that sunk her). She capsized first, then sank 400 ft in the water. Only 30 people died in their lifeboats when the boats ran into the moving propellers that had not been shut off yet( The captain wanted to breach the sinking ship to a nearby island so that everybody would be saved). It sank in November 1916, 4 years after the Titanic sank. She sank in 55 minutes, even with all of her safety features added. The open portholes caused this quick loss of life and ship.

It sank in November 1914, 2 years after the Titanic sank. She sank in 50 minutes, half as long as the Titanic, even with all of her safety features added. The open portholes caused this quick descent.
