Nominal Current:

In respect to Current Transformers, its the allowable current in amperes which can be transmitted by each contact continuously and simultaneously.

Load Current:

Current flowing through the load.

In General...

'Nominal' means named. So the nominal current (or voltage) is the named current. For example, a charger may have a nominal current of 100 mA marked on its nameplate, but the actual current drawn by its load (the load current) may only be, say, 75 mA.

What is the Difference maximum unit current draw and nominal unit current draw?

Maximum current is defined by the rated KW of the device, say Motor. The motor may not run at its maximum rated capacity all the time. Nominal current is drawn when motor runs at nominal load.

What is line voltage and line current in star connection define?

In star the voltage from line to neutral is 1/sqrt(3) times the nominal voltage, while the load current equals the line current. In delta the voltage between lines is the nominal voltage, while the load current is 1/sqrt(3) times the line current (for a balanced load). So a delta load needs 3 times the resistance compared to a star load of the same power.

What is nominal moment?

Nominal moment is the entire calculated moment after applying load...

What is the difference between nominal current and rated current of circit breaker?

They are the same.

How do you make a Overloading Electrical Circuits?

An overload occurs when the load current is higher than the nominal current rating of the conductor supplying the load. Over time, this can cause the insulation to break down and cause a short-circuit to occur between conductors.

What is loading factor?

A factored load is the product of a nominal load and a load factor. It is the ratio of the lift of an aircraft to its weight and the nominal aphasia.

How does load current varies with the load resistance?

Load current is related to load resistance by an inverse relationship. The load current increases linearly as load resistance decreases. Remember, the less resistance, the more current.

What is the percentage of the no-load current in a transformer to its full load current?

2 to 5% of full load current

Why the waveform of no load current is not sinusoidal?

No load current is mostly inductive, hence the load current may not be a sine wave
