Granulated coffee is just coffee that is available in the instant (a little bit larger then powder) like form. This removes the need to grind it up and makes it a faster alternative during the day.

Instant coffee or granulated coffee is a dissolvable coffee drink. It is made from brewed coffee that was converted into powdered coffee by extracting the liquid of the coffee bean. This can be done in two ways: spray drying or freeze drying. The instant coffee granules are easily dissolved when mixed with water to create a great cup of coffee, instantly. Contradictory to some myths, instant coffee is made of pure coffee beans.

What is granulated sugar?

AnswerGranulated sugar is most common form in which sugar is distributed to consumers. And when you open a bag of sugar to make a cake or some brownies, the probability is excellent that the white stuff you'll pour out into a measuring cup is what we call granulated sugar.

No... Powdered sugar is icing sugar. Granulated sugar is white sugar that is in granules. Chemically they are identical. The difference is in the physical structure. You can create your own powdered sugar by using a blender and granulated sugar. It won't be as fine, but it will be closer.
