That is the correct spelling of the phrase "my apologies", normally used in the context "you have my apologies" (expressing remorse). (see the related question)
Apologies are a sign of good faith that you are repentant. If you have wronged someone, they may be deeply hurt by that. Apologies allow others closure from the past and give them an opportunity to forgive and forget. Apologies alow for healing and they provide a means for broken relationships to be mended.
Just apologize like you normally would and try to make it not sound like a fake apology.
