It is just new blood, you get the dark blood often? Which is the older blood. But yes, it is just new fresh blood, you know when you get a cut on you knee is somewhere? You then get a scab and it's just as it se scab has come of and then you get the fresh blood. I hope this helped.

∙ 10y agoYour period doesn't just suddenly start full-flow, it starts light like this then gets heavier as the process of the uterus shedding starts-up. Brown is just smaller amounts of blood slowely leaving your vagina, then as it progresses more blood is lost and at a faster rate.
