Accelerants are catalysts which alter a chemical bond, speed up a chemical process, or bring organisms back to homeostasis.
An accelerator is something which accelerates, or a device which causes acceleration.
The word is spelled accelerant. The fire marshal determined an accelerant caused the hot-burning fire.

I believe you are looking for the term "accelerant." A catalyst.
An arson dog is a dog which has been trained to locate traces of accelerant at sites of suspected arson.
as an accelerant, kerosene has a higher flash temperature than does gasoline, meaning it requires more energy to start burning. i.e. - bigger flame, or spark.
It all depends on what type of method was used to start the fire and the accelerant used to spread it. It could consist of almost ANY flammable item.
The origin of a fire is the original site of the event. e.g. in the switchboard. The cause is the mechanism that created the fire. e.g. an accelerant was used to start the fire - arson is deduced.
It's actually a vapour. The "deodorant" itself is vaporised within the can and then placed under pressure along with an inert gas which occupies the rest of the can's volume - the accelerant. When you spray the deodorant a mixture of the accelerant and the deodorant vapour is released. You can see the vapour as it exits the can and slowly sinks and it's much the same as dense fog, however the individual peices of the vapour are much larger in deodorant.
