Breaks typically occur at different times, however they may coincide with Labor Day and Memorial Day in the US. With that in mind, the most typical schedule of year round schooling will be set in a trimester arrangement (three grade periods per school year). Each trimester will be three months long, with a one month break in between. This is sometimes offset by Thanksgiving break and Christmas/New Year break. There may be additional offset for other national holidays such as Independence Day. Credit requirements may be 32 to 36 credits by graduation. Fewer classes are required per trimester, however more classes will be taken, and class times may be longer.

A traditional school year is approximately from August/September until May/June with a short break in December and summers off. Year round school years last the whole year with many short breaks rather than one long break.

The number of days of leave a preschool teacher gets per year varies, depending on the policies of the preschool where the teacher works. Some preschools are year round and others depend on the public school schedule. Those that work in preschools that are based on the public school schedule will not work during the summer, but the year round preschool teachers will. Days off during the year will also vary. The best thing to do is to find out the preschool schedule of the one you would like to work at.
I went to a year round elementary school and loved it. I went to a regular middle school and high school though. I think in the older years its better to be on a regular schedule and then you can do more things over the summer such as internships or jobs. However, its a lot of fun in elementary school if your family has the ability to go on vacations multiple times a year. unless your poor then your screwed

Yes they go to school all year and have a few vacations!
I think they should have school around the year because parents can schedule vacations more effectively.
