With Albus Dumbledore gone Harry Potter is the only person who knows how to defeat Voldemort. With the aid of his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger they set out alone with the entire ministry and death eaters searching for them. They have to find and destroy all the remaining Horcruxes with very little information.

As they hide out in the woods with very little food, no plan and desperate for information about the friends and family tensions begin to run high. The novel comes to a climax with a final battle that will result in the death of either Harry or Voldemort.
