i had a friend who had this cyst, it was huge, in the tail bone area, it burst one afternoon and of all the junk that came out of it. that's when i realized how much pain she had been in. she had no family to help her, so my mom took over and found someone that would remove it by doing sugery. i think this would be the safest and best way to take care of the problem for the rest of your life, she has had no more problems.

∙ 9y agoOne home remedy for a pilonidal cyst is to take hot baths. You can also use hot compresses between baths. This will soften the cyst and cause it to pop.
