To be dedicated to Religion does not signify that one is dedicated to God. One must be dedicated to a religion that has Christ as its head, and a Heavenly Farther who is master of all. There are religions that are apposed to God and Christ, but none the less are still classed as religions.
perhaps devotion to one's religion is one of the most beautiful things i have experienced in my life and i did mirrored signs of a lot of you, over things we don't talk but we only share.. echoes. its more like a conventional focus to the emotional need for a reason for life really, for which there seem to be no straight answer, no discovery, no critical analysis but mere acceptance, and this brings peace, strikes a balance between the mind and heart demarcations. Eventually the more echoes around the person, the more the margin increases, until they loop or curve over themselves and become one.
what then seem plausible becomes FACT, and uncertitudes reflect one's own unworthiness, ignorance or more precisely the force of external evil.
once one develop devotion to religion, his or her ability to think abstractly is limited, and i know a lot of you think that's irrelevant but, let me say this, people don't actually admit it.. they know however that it is true.
Devotion to one's religion iswhere then mind is forcefully tamed to limit its intellectual functioning in terms of critical thinking, the irony being where there is no answer or all answers is GOd, the room for an alternative answer is deliberatly removed. it becomes a phobia almost, and may be a lot of people have seen the display of ' you're so wrong, you're so wrong...' and devotion makes you adopt a perfectionist attitude. i pity those who devote themselves to religion, as having invested/ spent so much of themselves.. their personality, their intellect, their way of interacting with other people. their ambitions etc , the discomfort of a certain excessive unreasonableness invokes such a strong denial /refusal attitude more as if subconsciously telling you NOT let me SAVE YOU but ' let me convert you BEFORE YOU CONVERT ME '
While being devoted to a religion seems to be very good, sometimes it can become a bottle neck in God-realization. Being devoted to a religion means we should be sincere in our seeking of God. Unfortunately, we are blind in our faith, we accept our scriptures without interpreting and understanding what they say. We think it is blasphemous to ask questions, this is not being devoted to a religion, this is being a fool, not asking questions, not seeking God, not evolving on the journey from religion to spirituality is the biggest mistake of our life. Therefore if we want to be truly devoted to our religion, we must not only believe in God but go beyond belief, faith, hope, love, trust, enthusiasm. We must seek God and we must realize God in the temple of our heart. Therefore some people are seeking achievement, some living with fulfillment but very few people evolve on the path of life to the ultimate peak known as Enlightenment. They are liberated from all misery and sorrow and they live a life of bliss, peace and joy.
it means you follow this religion and believe in the religions god or you believe in what they believe in it as well
