What is a bargain sometimes called?
It is known as the Corrupt Bargain because John Q. Adams seemed to have made an unsavory bargain deal with Henry Clay. Clay finished fourth in the electoral vote and so was no…t eligible to win . He was able to get the states that he had carried to vote for Adams even though Jackson would seem to be the more logical choice for their interests. In return Adams appointed him as Secretary of State, a position which at that time was viewed as a stepping-stone to the Presidency
Post Civil War, Republicans were considered the champions of thenewly freed slaves. The Compromise of 1877 was an informal dealRepublicans made with Southern democrats to make… them accept Hayesas president after a highly contested election outcome. As aresult, federal troops were pulled from former Confederate statesleaving blacks at the mercy of mainly hostile southern whites. Thus, blacks called the deal the ultimate betrayal or a corruptbargain.
According to the Constitution, if no one receives the majority of the votes in a presidential election, then Congress picks who it wants. The election of 1824 had been a four…-way election between John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, William Crawford, and Henry Clay. Although Jackson received more votes than any other candidate (41%, compared to Adams's 31%, Crawford's 11%, and Clay's 13%), he had not received a majority of the votes (that is to say, over 50%). Therefore, Congress got to decide who won and it picked Adams, who then appointed Clay as his Secretary of State.. Jackson's supporters claimed that Clay (who was Speaker of the House at the time) had convinced Congress to pick Adams, and did so in exchange for Adams making him Secretary of State. It is unknown whether such a bargain actually took place..
Bargaining is another word for negotiating - if you go to a market to purchase some goods and then argue with the shop keeper for a better price, that is bargaining. Bargainin…g, is different then negotiating. Bargaining is done by the seller. Negotiating is done to find a win win. And does not always have to be about moony or goods. Bargaining is pricing by a seller in order to create a perceived distance between regular pricing, and bargain pricing. Bargaining is having a sale. It is a one way action. Negotiating is a back and forth between two parties to create a manifold equality between two parties.
The election of 1828 was not called a Corrupt Bargain, it was actually the election of 1824. In the election of 1824, John Quncy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Henry Clay (all Dem…ocratic Repulican) ran, and the vote was decided by the House of Representatives. Jackson supporters believed that because JQA didn't win the popular vote but won the election, a secret conspiracy had been involved.
The House of representative elected John Quincy Adams over rival Andrew Jackson. It was widely believed that Henry Clay, the Speaker of the House at the time, convinced Congre…ss to elect Adams. Than later on Adam made Clay his Secretary of State.

Relationships are supposed to be two way, not all one sided. Maybe you should accept she doesn't want to talk to you, and move on. Easy for me to say, as you obviously like he…r, but you could meet someone else that is more considerate.
Bargains regard seemingly advantageous offers of sale and commerce.Similar terms to bargains are steals and deals, both terms havingpositive connotations.
A deal or too good to be true as in a rip off.
a whale of a seal
The election of 1824 became controversial because Jackson won theelectoral vote by plurality, meaning he didn't win the majority, but received more votes than any other candida…te, but the vote waspassed on to the House of Representative. According to the 12thamendment, when there is no majority winner, the vote must alwaysbe passed onto the House of Reps. So, Adams won by these terms, buthad it been up to electoral votes, Jackson would have beenvictorious. For this reason, it may be considered corrupt andcontroversial.
In large outlets they would be called "loss leaders."
clay persuaded house members pledged to him to support the candidancy of adams after which president adams appointed clay as secretary of state.
Andrew Jackson, already famous for his temper, was furious. And when John Quincy Adams named Henry Clay to be his secretary of state, Jackson denounced the election as "the co…rrupt bargain." Many assumed Clay sold his influence to Adams so he could be secretary of state and thus increase his own chance of being president someday. Andrew Jackson was so wildly angry about what he considered manipulations in Washington that he resigned his senate seat. He returned to Tennessee and began planning the campaign that would make him president four years later. Jackson would serve two terms as president, and would begin the era of strong political parties in America. As for John Quincy Adams, he served four years as president before being defeated by Jackson when he ran for reelection in 1828. Adams then retired briefly to Massachusetts. He ran for the House of Representatives in 1830, won the election, and would ultimately serve 17 years in Congress, becoming a strong advocate against slavery. Adams always said being a congressman was more gratifying than being president. And Adams actually died in the US Capitol, having suffered a stroke in the building in February 1848. Henry Clay ran for president again, losing to Jackson in 1832 and to James Knox Polk in 1844. And while he never gained the nation's highest office, he remained a major figure in national politics until his death in 1852. So your answer is John Quincy Adams.
