A Doctorate of Philosophy is bestowed upon a candidate who has rigorously studied, tested, researched, written about, and defended the results of a particular subject, in this instance, Bible Studies. A Ph.D may take between two and six years or so to complete. Beware of anyone who completes a doctorate in less than a year, or touts any degree where The Bible is the only book of study. They are useless degrees, not accredited, and just plain funny.
