on skype u can do a video chat. also if u chose u can type your message instead of saying it. also there is a mute button so u can still see the person but they cant hear u and u cant hear them. i recommend skype to anyone with a webcam. if u love MSN u will love skype.

∙ 13y agoThe Skype VoIP technology allows you to talk to people via PC to PC, PC to Mobile, PC to Landline, any combination thereof and vice-versa. The only service that is totally free is the PC to PC service. All you have to do is install the software on both computers and talk away! That is true Free VoIP or Voice over the internet. There is a small fee for some of the other services but that fee will still save you money compared to traditional telephony services. Skype is not yet a viable replacement for a traditional or mobile phone but there are many features that can save you money on phone calls.

Just like making a normal phonecall you can dial anyone with a skype account and speak to them for free!
With a webcam and a microphone/headphones/speakers (sometimes these need to be purchased seperately) you can talk to your loved ones with a live videostream -it is like they are in the same room- and there is even an option to make extremely cheep phonecalls to any landline or mobile world wide!
You can try downloading the program from their main page and have a browse around.
