I am by no means a scholar but I place my career concerns before St. Joseph the Worker. The Catholic Church has two feasts for St. Joseph; May 1st is the feast day of St. Joseph the Worker and March 19 is for St. Joseph the husband of Mary. May 1st is a day specifically made to recognize St. Joseph's patronage for all laborers. I would encourage viewing this site: http://www.catholic.org/saints/patron.php.
