Why do all animals need food in order to live?

It is scientifically proven that animals do infact need food to survive, and the food they eat is what gives them energy to grow and develop into adults. They need food to build up there body to feed there baby animals. Food is a necessity and the animal would only live for a couple weeks without food.

All living things have things that are common what are the uncommon things?

That question is a beautiful > no mind < producer of the best kind. It tends to make the mind stop thinking because it just keeps churning in on itself trying to come up with an answer. But if the mind could be coaxed into answering such a question, it would have to say rationally that the things that are uncommon to all living things are those things that are only common to non-living things. And what would those be? See . . . the mind just has to keep churning in on itself. > No mind < wins again.

What characteristic do all living things share?

They reproduce by mitosisThis is the six characteristics of living things:Grow and Develop - when one cell or many celled organisms get bigger or increase the number of cells. Organisms may pass through different stages.Have Cells - In a single-celled organism, one cell carries out all life processes. In a many-celled organism, there are specialized cells that do one or more life processes. Cells are the smallest unit that can perform life processes. They are covered by a membrane, have DNA, and have cytoplasm.DNA - Cells contain DNA which controls the structure and function of cells. Heredity is the passing of genetic traits from parents to offspringUse Energy - living things need energy to carry out activities of life like making food, breaking down food, and moving materials in and out of cells.Sexual or Asexual Reproduction - New organisms come from existing organisms. Sexual reproduction is when two parents produce offspring tha share characteristic of both parents (see heredity). Asexual reproduction is when one parent produces offspring that are exactly like the parent.Sense and Respond to Change - ability to sense or pick up on changes in the environment and to react in an appropriate way. Stimulus is anything that affects the activety of the organism or causes a reaction or change in an organism or any part of an organism. Response is what an organism does or how an organism behaves because of a stimulus.I think these would be more helpful:Nutrition - all activities in which an organism obtains food from environment and breaks it down into a form that can be absorbed and used in cellsTransport - absorption and distribution of essential materials throughout the organismRespiration - release of energy from food by a complex series of chemical reactionsSynthesis and Assimilation - (synthesis) simple substances are combined chemically to form more complex substances (assimilation) process in which nutrition is incorporated nto the bodyGrowth - increase in size of an organismExcretion - process in which waste of metabolism are removed from an organismRegulation - coordinated activities that serve to maintain internal stabilityReproduction - process by which organisms give rise to offspring (of the same kind)The seven characteristics of living things are:MovementRespirationSensitivityCirculationGrowthReproductionExcretionNutrition•Living things are made of cells.•Living things obtain and use energy.•Living things grow and develop.•Living things reproduce.•Living things respond to their environment.•Living things adapt to their environment.•Living thing make waste.•Living thing have DNA.•Living thing use water.•Living thing use air.
