Metformin is a medicine used to treat type 2 Diabetes. It does not impart anything to weight loss. However, there is a way to prevent diabetes 1 and 2, and the first tell tale signs is weight gain. If your family has hereditary disease such as diabetes, prevention is better than cure.

∙ 11y agoMetaformin is one of the anti diabetic drugs and is used to treat type2 diabetes. In very few cases this drug causes weight loss but it has an advantage that it does not cause weight gain. So it is safer for diabetic people to take this drug with well balanced diet in order to lose weight.
