Inbound Logistics is the transportation storing and delivering of goods which is coming into the location of the business whereas Outbound Logistics is the transportation of goods which is going out of the business location.

It is essential for the Logistics managers to ensure the efficiency of networks distributing the goods and reduce the transportation and storage cots associated with the company.

inbound is a first stage of warehousing in a very crucial point in warehousing , basically many people things only to offload the materials . and keeping only to location . the main purposed of inbound is to help the outbound , in that case you should to planned how the outbound can pick easily , you need to planned your inbound space , for the receiving ,segregation , checking the variant in every item is to insure the your materials is 100% correct. then followed for put-away with correction location , correct position of the item should all the label are visible to the picker , in that work you are reducing wrong picking . Note: positively if inbound with proper planned in the inbound was wrong the pick also wrong and the production operation was also slow , many managements are not looking for the inbound. they are just focusing only the outbound but they realized the the cost of effective /defective of outbound is just because of inbound.
